Sampson Starkweather, Paige Taggart, and Teresa K. Miller will read for Bad Blood XIX on Friday, August 23. You’ll want to hear poems read from this, this and this. And then you’ll want to buy those books directly from the poet, because in your heart, you’re one of the top 200 advocates for American poetry. See you around 7:30 at ADX.

Tonight is BBXVII with Lynn Xu, Joshua Edwards, and Farnoosh Fathi representing Canarium Books strong. It’ll be my second missed Bad Blood, and this one stings. I’m a fan. Please go in my stead. Take notes for me. Keep Drew and Joseph in check. Tell them tonight my heart is at ADX/PDX.

It’s official: Portland’s own, Gigantic Brewing, is now the proud sponsor of the Bad Blood Reading Series. We’re excited for you to check out their beer at the next reading on January 10, at ADX, with Ben Mirov, Rebecca Farivar, Brian Foley, and Elaine Kahn (more info on that to come). And if you can’t wait until January to learn about Gigantic, you can come to the Publication Fair on Sunday, where we’ll be sitting on a case. And, of course, you can always check them out on your own. Here’s a bit more info about its brewers, Van Havig and Ben Love.
