The Fjords shows at the Poetry Foundation in Chicago are now all sold out, though I’m told there may be a few tickets at the door each night. And we’re working on having a fifth encore show somewhere on Monday night. Stay tuned.

I’m hosting (for Octopus Books) and reading (for Black Ocean) on Friday night during the AWP conference at The Hideout. Black Ocean, Letter Machine, Octopus Books. 9pm. w/Feng Sun Chen, Christopher DeWeese, Peter Gizzi, Thurston Moore, Andrea Rexilius, myself, and Jenny Zhang. The Chicago Q Ensemble and Manual Cinema will reprise a version of their stage performance, FJORDS, at the Poetry Foundation a week prior. And DJ Jacob Ross will bring it all home.

Manual Cinema is working on the puppets for the Fjords performances that will take place at the Poetry Foundation in Chicago from February 23 to February 26. This is the dead squirrel with an acorn in hand from a poem called “Squirrel Problem” (which was published first in Zero Ducats 2). You can purchase tickets ahead of time here.
It is good to know I have an small independent publisher in Janaka Stucky to take care of me. His article, “How to Survive in the Age of Amazon” was published over at the Poetry Foundation.
The Man Suit and Scary, No Scary have reached a milestone. As these books go into their third and second printings, respectively, Black Ocean is celebrating the printing of their 10,000th copy of these two books combined. Read about it at the Poetry Foundation, or on the Black Ocean blog.
